We
introduce enantiomerically pure aziridine-2-carboxylates as new C-3 chiral
building blocks which easily lead to various optically pure nitrogen containing
molecules including natural and unnatural a-
and b-amino acid derivatives.

aziridine-2-carboxamides, 2-hydroxymethylazirdines, 4-chloromethyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones,
